It is snowing big pretty flakes outside and the house is a little chilly.  What does that mean?  Perfect day for baking!

The problem, I am attempting a no sugar eating plan to try to break my sugar addiction.  Because I had the baking bug, but didn’t want to eat them, I decided to go for cookies with peanut butter and oatmeal, not my favs!  Thought it might help with the temptation to eat the cookies (or the dough)!!

I found a recipe that was gluten free so Luke could eat them and one that I thought Ryan would like too.  This lovely Gluten Free Peanut Butter & Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe showed up on google search and I just knew it would be the right one.  I have tried recipes from the site before and they are always good!

Luke and I whipped them up and then he waited patiently to try one.  They were a huge success!!!  HE LOVED THEM and even told me that he would like to eat 5o million batches of them!  HA!

Sometimes, a snow globe style snow mixed with a Sunday afternoon is just what a person needs to remember the little things to be thankful for.  A warm house, baking supplies, and family are just a few of those things today.

    • I so wish I could eat them!! Will have to make them again when I am eating a little sugar!! Even though they have peanut butter and oatmeal, which I don’t normally love in cookies, these look and smell amazing!!!! Guess I will live vicariously through my son and husband!
